Civil disobedience demonstration. to demand a cease-fire in Gazatook place on The Benjamin Franklin Parkway on Dec. 14, 2023. Protesters blocked traffic on the Spring Garden St. Bridge. The crowd used their cell phones to symbolically show the lights on Hanukkah.

Rabbis representing a wide spectrum of the Jewish community were joined by Rabbinical students, other Jews and members of many faith traditions to pray for a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of hostages during a traditional morning prayer service near the U.S. Capitol.
